  My wife and I were looking for a Bible based church where our whole family could grow. After moving to the area we visited First Baptist. The preschool is wonderful. There are activities for young children and teens, and there are many adult classes to choose from. The pastor provides excellent Biblical guidance during the worship service. This energizes us and motivates us throughout the week. The Sunday School class provides opportunities to discuss real-life situations through a Christian perspective. Most importantly, we feel that First Baptist is a place where our spiritual needs are met so that we can grow stronger in Christ, and from that we are challenged to go out and serve in the community and to meet the needs of others.

  First Baptist Church is a "Grace Place." It's a great place to learn from Biblical teaching, connect with great people of any age, and get involved in a community of people who understand that we are all recovering sinners with all sorts of backgrounds and all kinds of futures. Come as you are, however casual or formal you may be. With preschool, children's, youth, college, adult, and senior adult classes to choose from, you're sure to find a place to fit any stage of your life. The teaching available at every age and level is great, both in services and in small groups. It's grounded and understandable from preschool to senior adults. The worship style varies from southern gospel to hymns to current popular worship music. A normal service consists of singing, prayer, and teaching/studying of the Bible. There's a place for everyone here, and we'd love to have you! I found family, love, and grace here, and I hope you do, too.

  First Baptist is a wonderful church that does so much in the community. They have quite the large congregation.

  Things you can expect at First Baptist:
  1. There are two morning worship services and two Sunday school hours. You can go to Sunday school at 8:45 and then worship at 10 or do it the other way around.
  2. Dress is casual, but people come dressed in all levels on the scale of informal to formal.
  3. The music style is blended, leaning contemporary
  4. Sunday School is very important to the overall experience at First Baptist. You get the family feeling in Sunday School and the feeling you are part of something bigger than yourself in the worship services. Adults will have more than one class to choose from; so, people try several classes until they find the one that fits them.
